The Oracles are prophetic and metaphoric alien-like creatures which foresee the melancholic things of life: death, decay, destruction, refuse, depression, uncertainty, and the like.  These creatures are here to give the notion that these things are naturally inevitable.  We must all learn to deal with these things as living creatures, and although sometimes the pain is overwhelming, we must face the jumbled aftermath and continue living on.
